About us

Steve has been a lifelong photographer starting as a lad using black-and-white film in a 127-size camera from Woolworths progressing through selling his first image which appeared on the front page of a Newcastle newspaper in 1963, learning to print, joining a camera club (and later being president for several years) and on into the digital age. His interests have expanded into small-scale video and latterly the more painterly side of art using an easel and brushes.

Most of Steve's photos are taken around the village of Benderloch, which is in the north of Argyll. The seaside resort town of Oban is nearby and the scenic grandeur of Glencoe only a short drive away. The village of Benderloch is a popular year-round tourist destination situated on the coast below the small mountain of Ben Lora. Its a great area for walking, sailing, canoeing, fishing and watching wildlife. Steve has a photoblog showing his latest pictures and for over ten years has owned and run a Benderloch information website with accommodation listings and ideas for things to do and see when in the area.

Postcards created using Steve's images are available to buy at Munro's store in the centre of Benderloch.

Steve is happy to work with other local businesses to provide website advice and promotional photographs.
